I would like to take this opportunity to whole-heartedly thank the Madden Team for the quality home-buying experience my wife and I recently went through. Everybody we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. Most notably, Jewel Addison worked closely with us in a patient and professional manner, and cast a highly positive light on the Madden Team. As out-of-state buyers we chose your team through an internet search, under the assumption that one Realtor was as good as another. During this process I learned that is not the case and that we were quite fortunate to have lender ourselves in your hands. It became readily apparent when dealing with Jewel and yourself that you were naturally people of good character and everything you did and said are reinforced that feeling. In my opinion, there is nothing more important in such complex dealings, and you should pride yourselves in delivering such a sense of trust and integrity. Jewel was incredibly helpful, patient, friendly and professional throughout the process. While I was visiting Fairbanks to search for a house, one offer fell through (due to a competing offers for which you gave great strategic advice, but I didn't feel comfortable taking) and she was right there to help me with the next one. Even though the second offer looked more promising and we eventually closed she was very accommodating of my desire to continue looking at houses in the short time I was there so that I would have backup options. During the contract period, Jewel and Randi were always paying attention to the details, cheerfully reminding us long in advance of issues and deadlines that were coming up. Although Jewel had tactfully advised us that using a lender familiar to her would be much more efficient, we chose to go with our own Montana lender, and this turned out to be a big mistake. Fortunately, once it became evident that our own lender was not working out as hoped, Jewel was able to set us up with a Fairbanks lender in a matter of hours, and thing went very smoothly thereafter. To other buyers who might feel wary of using a lender recommended by the Madden Team, I would suggest seriously considering this. The recommended lenders understand that peculiarities of the Fairbanks and Alaska markets, and have a proven track record of working well with the Madden Team. In short, I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to work with Jewel and the Madden Team, and feel like you always had our best interests at heart.
